Delray Beach Public Library To Open New Teen Cyber Center With Grant From The Jim Moran Foundation

The Delray Beach Public Library is pleased to announce a $48,500.00 grant from The Jim Moran Foundation (The Foundation). This generous grant is to be used for the Library's newTeen Cyber Center located in the new Delray Beach Public Library. The Library is located at 100 West Atlantic Avenue and is scheduled to open in October 2005.

Funding from The Foundation will equip the Teen Cyber Center with computers, software and books and will provide 12- to 18-year-olds with a teen-focused collection of material geared toward their interests and keep them engaged after school and on weekends.

"With this grant, The Foundation recognizes the value of the Delray Beach Public Library as a community resource center. With the program offerings at its Teen Cyber Center, our youth will have a safe, educational environment to interact, study, learn and grow," said Jan Moran, Foundation Chairman and President.
